If this turns out to be commonpractice someday soon, I'm totally going to be jealous after three root canals and complications. Cavities may soon be able to be filled with stem cells that not only regenerate teeth but revitalize modern dentistry as we know it (now when will we get the laser surgery, guys?).
If our teeth can regrow, it will completely revolutionize the way we treat them. It might also put the dentures business out of business, or at least cause a pretty hefty drop in the industry! It's an exciting development that I hope our kids and theirs can take advantage of in the future.
